Membership Benefits

Make the most of your membership and get involved! Your willingness to get involved plays an important role in maintaining programs and projects that will benefit young children.

 

CAEYC - The State Level As a member of CAEYC you will receive discounts on conference registration fees for the Annual Conference, Public Policy Symposium, training seminars and other professional development events. You will be able to experience the power of advocacy at the state level to help improve your profession and the lives of young children. You will have access to internship programs, educational grants and awards, leadership opportunities, our newsletter and much more.

 

NAEYC - The National Level You will also receive NAEYC benefits, plus up-to-date publications that highlight today's topics in early childhood education, brochures, posters, videotapes, books and the Young Children journal. You will receive access to nationally renowned accreditation through the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs plus access to low-cost insurance plans, childcare information and more!

 

San Mateo AEYC - Local chapters focus on specific community needs and resources, and offer a variety of activities such as meetings, workshops and newsletters.

 

As a member you may take advantage of a wide array of resources offered through NAEYC, CAEYC and

San Mateo AEYC to help improve your work with children. These resources include, but are not limited to, the following:

Raise the Quality of Early Childhood Education Programs

As a member you can further our voluntary national accreditation system accreditation, which helps improve early childhood education programs and recognizes high-quality programs so parents can make informed choices. And you can promote the development of respected position statements on issues such as teaching reading and writing, licensing to ensure health and safety, or supporting families.

 

Build the Early Childhood Profession

We believe that early childhood educators are professionals who should be valued and respected. Join us to promote high professional standards, comprehensive training opportunities, and equitable compensation and working conditions so that qualified early childhood educators will stay and grow in this important field.

 

Promote Public Support and Policies for Young Children

Together we can help to increase understanding and support for high-quality early childhood education among policymakers and the public through a wide range of education, advocacy, and public awareness activities, including our annual Week of the Young Child celebration and the Children's Champions Web-based Action Center.

 

Dues Structure

Fees effective September 1, 2010, membership dues are:

 

Student $35

Regular $60

Comprehensive $110

All members receive the benefits described above. The Comprehensive member also receives 5 or 6 books immediately upon their release by NAEYC.
